Located in Yoro Valley, one of Chiba Prefecture’s most scenic destinations, Awamata Falls is known for water flowing smoothly down its rocky surface. With an Approx. 30 m drop and a gentle stream stretching Approx. 100 m, it is also called a “sliding waterfall.”

You can enjoy the changing natural scenery throughout the four seasons, including fresh greenery in spring and autumn leaves in fall. It is especially busy with many visitors from around mid-November to early December each year as a famous spot for fall foliage. Near the basin of the falls, the cool spray feels refreshing, making it a popular place to escape the summer heat.

Parking and restrooms are available around the entrance to the falls, making it a convenient base for a walk. Its quiet scenery in harmony with nature makes it one of Yoro Valley’s most representative scenic spots.
