Tambara Lavender Park

A flower paradise where Approx. 50,000 lavender plants bloom on a highland 1,300 meters above sea level.

Last update :

Located on a refreshingly cool highland at Approx. 1,300 meters above sea level, this is an ideal summer retreat for escaping the intense heat of midsummer. Inside the park, Approx. 50,000 lavender plants, one of the largest displays in the Kanto region, bloom like a vivid purple carpet, and simply walking through the scenery and fragrance feels wonderfully freeing.

The best time to visit is usually from early July to around mid-August, when the contrast of green and purple and the crisp highland air are especially appealing. In addition to lavender, the park also features flower fields of sunflowers, salvia, and marigolds, as well as a playground area and dog run that make it enjoyable for families with children and visitors with pets.

The park’s dining facilities offer lavender soft serve, lavender curry, and other original menu items made with local ingredients such as Joshu barley pork. Combining cool weather with beautiful flower scenery, this highland park is a place where you can experience seeing, smelling, and tasting all at once.
