A vast urban park on Ominegadai in western Matsuyama City. Across its spacious grounds are a variety of attractive areas, including the “Observation Plaza, Observation Tower” with sweeping views over the city, and “Bocchan Dream Land,” which features colorful large playground equipment that sparks children’s curiosity.

Every year, Somei Yoshino and wild cherry blossoms are at their best from late March to early April, and in June, beautiful hydrangeas delight visitors. In summer, crape myrtle and oleander bloom, from mid-November to December the park’s trees turn red, and from January to early April many kinds of camellias bloom in the camellia garden.

The “Observation Plaza” at the highest point in the park is especially appealing for its open, airy atmosphere. Along with excellent views of the city, you can also take photogenic pictures with the “Observation Tower,” inspired by a medieval European castle, in the background. From the “Observation Tower,” you can look out over Matsuyama City, the Dogo Onsen area, and even the Seto Inland Sea in the distance.

“Bocchan Dream Land” features large playground equipment such as the brightly colored “Time Station” in vivid red, blue, yellow, and green, and the uniquely donut-shaped “Old Western City.”
