Rail-Mountain-Bike Gattan Go!!

An activity in Hida, Gifu Prefecture, that uses the former Kamioka Railway tracks, which closed in 2006. Ride a mountain bike secured to a special frame along the actual rails, taking in scenery rich in nature for about an hour while feeling and hearing the distinctive clickety-clack of the tracks.

Choose from two routes: the Town Course, which passes through nostalgic streets and stations, or the thrilling Canyon Course, which crosses bridges and runs through a long tunnel. All bikes have electric assistance. The Town Course offers various vehicle options, including a double-decker seat set that accommodates 5 people and a sidecar with room for 1 passenger, making it easy for everyone from children to adults to join in.

The attraction is popular for combining the nostalgic atmosphere of an abandoned railway with the exhilaration of an amusement ride. Former station signs and railway remains can still be seen along the tracks, making it ideal not only for railway enthusiasts but also for families and outdoor lovers.
