I happened to visit Sunshine Aquarium during its Detective Conan collaboration, and the character illustrations were really nice!
The aquarium itself isn't very big, but the exhibits are arranged in a distinctive way. Besides the various marine animals, there are also the eye-catching Sky Penguins, where you can see penguins swimming between tall buildings. It's a very unusual sight~
The atmosphere inside the aquarium is relaxed and pleasant, making it a good place to visit when you're tired from shopping.

Sunshine Aquarium, located on the rooftop of the Sunshine City building in Ikebukuro, is a dreamlike example of an urban aquarium high above the city!
The most impressive attraction is the outdoor “Penguins in the Sky” exhibit, which has gone viral online. The transparent tank and open-air setting make it look as though the penguins are swimming through the skyline of Ikebukuro's skyscrapers. The visual effect is stunning! Inside, there are also gracefully swimming seals, a dreamy jellyfish tunnel, and a large open-air tank filled with tropical fish and rays. Whether you're visiting with family or on a date, you can enjoy a soothing and romantic underwater fantasy here!

The space is small but very well designed. It's really fun to see the sea creatures up close. Perfect for families with kids—such a warm and enjoyable experience!

The aquarium has lots of rare aquatic animals and plants. There are also both indoor and outdoor shows that are definitely worth checking out.

Sunshine Aquarium has been around for a while, but it always feels fresh since they keep updating the facilities. The feeding shows are pretty fun, and we happened to catch a time when you could get close to the small animals. Kids will love it here.
