We came to Yakitori Tetchan for some grilled skewers. The whole place has the atmosphere of a Japanese izakaya, and once we sat down, we just kept eating skewer after skewer. It was really satisfying!

The skewers were fragrant and delicious, with a lightly charred exterior and tender meat. They were so tasty with the sauce. Every skewer had a wonderful charcoal-grilled aroma, and the more we ate, the harder it was to stop.

Overall, everything was really delicious, and it was one of the most memorable meals of the trip.

Located in Harmonica Yokocho by the north exit of Kichijoji Station, Yakitori Tetchan is a skewer izakaya with an old Tokyo feel. The interior is small but full of character, using recycled network cables, acrylic, and other materials to create an artistic design. Combined with the lively alley atmosphere, sitting at the counter with some grilled skewers and a beer is a lovely way to end the day.

They have a great selection of craft beer and other drinks, and there are tons of food options like yakitori. I couldn’t decide, so I asked the staff for recommendations and went with that.

Everyone was polite and helpful, so I felt at ease and got to enjoy some delicious drinks and food.
