After getting hungry while shopping at LUMINE EST Shinjuku, we decided to eat at AFURI Ramen! There was no need to go anywhere else, and being able to have lunch or dinner while shopping was really convenient for us after all the walking we did during our trip.

This time, I ordered their signature yuzu shio ramen. The broth was light and refreshing with a subtle yuzu aroma, very different from the richer tonkotsu ramen you usually find. The chicken broth was mild and smooth, and the noodles had a nice texture. I didn't feel overly full or greasy even after finishing the entire bowl.

What I liked most was the refreshing yuzu aroma, which gave the whole bowl of ramen a very fresh quality. Eating, taking a short break, and then continuing to explore LUMINE EST was just right!

LUMINE EST is near the East Exit of Shinjuku Station, making it very convenient to get to. It brings together many clothing, shoe, bag, beauty, general merchandise, and lifestyle brands popular with young people in Japan, and the overall atmosphere is stylish and energetic. Besides shopping, there are also plenty of restaurants and dessert shops. There are so many stores in the Shinjuku shopping district that even a whole day isn’t enough!

I really love the artsy cafes here! It's so nice to just sit down, have a drink, and watch the street view. Japanese malls are so detailed—even the restrooms smell way better than the ones in Hong Kong.

This newly opened food court and supermarket has a lot of famous shops. Looks like they're aiming to be on par with Tokyo Station.

Great shopping mall, but it's always super crowded.

Every time I take the train to Shinjuku, I always pass by here.

The best thing about this place is how convenient the location is. If you don't have much time for shopping, this is a great choice.

You have to go to a different floor to process tax refunds. There were a lot of people waiting, and the staff at the counter were really inefficient. I ended up giving up.

This shopping mall has a great location. In the summer, it's nice to come in and cool off with the air conditioning.

It's connected to the station, so it's super convenient for dining and shopping.
