I visited five years ago.
The latest hygiene management and the scenes of auctions you can see through the glass were impressive.
Tsukiji was great, but I was really moved by how they've created this new style of market for the future.

I still prefer the lively atmosphere and environment of the old Tsukiji Market.
The seafood here is super fresh and really tasty!
The new market is much more organized and clean. There are set routes for tourists to follow.
Even though the facilities here are newer and cleaner, I still prefer the vibe of the old Tsukiji Market.
It's really spacious inside, with three buildings you can take your time exploring.
The sushi restaurants nearby are really delicious, especially the seafood—it’s super fresh.
My recommendations:
Sushi: Daiwa Sushi
Ramen: Yaji Man
Souvenirs: Mosuke
And don't miss the tuna auction show—it's a must-see!
The seafood here is really delicious and the prices aren't too high.
There are three buildings in total, so it's best to plan your route ahead of time. That way, you won't have to run back and forth, and the restrooms are easy to find too.
