I've been to Tokyo many times, but this was my first time in Yokohama. Of course, I had to stroll around Chinatown and check it out~

Yokohama Chinatown at night really has a strong Chinese vibe. It's even more fun to explore than Kobe's Chinatown.

Yokohama Chinatown is really different from how I remember it as a kid. There's not much of the traditional festival vibe anymore, and the old Chinese community is slowly fading away.

I went to pray during the New Year. It was super crowded and lively. I really hope Yokohama Chinatown can go back to how it used to be. Had a great time! 😊

Among Japan's three major Chinatowns—Kobe Nankinmachi, Nagasaki Shinchi, and Yokohama—Yokohama Chinatown is the largest. It's always packed with visitors and has tons of authentic Chinese food. After eating, you can take a stroll at the nearby Yamashita Park to walk it off.

Chinatown has gates on the east, west, south, and north, all based on feng shui. There are also Mazu and Guan Yu temples, and you can find all the major Chinese cuisines here—Shanghai, Sichuan, Cantonese, and more.

If you're in Yokohama, it's worth strolling around Chinatown. But honestly, the restaurants are more for Japanese people—Chinese visitors probably won't find the food familiar.

All the signs and writing feel so familiar! I was surprised to find both a Guan Yu Temple and a Mazu Temple here. It really feels authentically Chinese!

It's really heartwarming to see a traditional Chinese Taoist temple in Japan.
