Lake Yamanaka is one of the closest lakes to Mt. Fuji among the Fuji Five Lakes and also one of the highest in elevation. It's a popular spot for enjoying Mt. Fuji's reflection and the lakeside scenery. On clear days, you can see the entire mountain towering over the lake, and the scenery is beautiful.

The scenery at Lake Yamanaka is really beautiful.

But the spots are quite far from each other, so driving is the best way to see everything without feeling rushed.

Hirano-no-Hama, Nagasaki Lakeside Park, and the swan boat area are all easy to visit in one smooth loop if you have a car.

Sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate and the lake gets covered in clouds and mist, but honestly, that gives it a dreamy, mysterious vibe.

Lake Yamanaka is such a charming spot. The beautiful lake, the stunning mountain scenery, and the peaceful atmosphere really left a strong impression on me.

In winter, the natural scenery around Lake Yamanaka becomes even more charming with Mt. Fuji in the background. It also offers a unique sense of tranquility you won't find elsewhere.

Absolutely beautiful...

It's not as lively as Lake Kawaguchi and the transportation isn't as convenient, but I still prefer the peaceful and relaxing vibe of Lake Yamanaka.

You can see Mt. Fuji across the lake.

Since this is the closest lake to Mt. Fuji among the Fuji Five Lakes, I think it's where you get the biggest view of the mountain.

There are lots of great photo spots, so photography lovers will really enjoy it.

The weather wasn't great, so I couldn't get any nice photos of Mt. Fuji.

Such a beautiful 'Swan Lake'! The swan boats on the water and the real swans by the shore really complement each other.

Lake Yamanaka is the biggest of the Fuji Five Lakes. Most tourists are more familiar with Lake Kawaguchi, so there are fewer people here. But if you want to enjoy the best views of Mt. Fuji, this lake is actually the closest.
