If you're visiting Nagoya, I highly recommend stopping by Oasis 21. It's right in the bustling Sakae shopping district, with convenient transportation and tons of places to explore nearby! During the day, you can shop at the nearby department stores and underground malls, then find a restaurant when you need a break. At night, the illuminated Spaceship-Aqua creates a completely different atmosphere and looks great in photos.

There are also plenty of izakayas, restaurants, and shopping centers nearby, so you can eat, shop, and take a walk all in one trip. Personally, I think it's worth visiting both during the day and at night. It's especially relaxing to take a walk here after an evening of shopping.

I had been looking forward to walking around Oasis 21, but it rained that day, so I could only take a quick look while holding an umbrella. That was a bit disappointing.

Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, the glass-roofed Spaceship-Aqua was still distinctive, and the rain gave it a different kind of atmosphere. I’ve heard the nighttime illumination is gorgeous, and you can photograph it together with the nearby Nagoya TV Tower. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay long this time. I’ll have to come back on a sunny day for a leisurely stroll and take the photos I missed.

This was my first visit to Oasis 21. I thought it was just a transit hub, but it completely blew me away at night!

The glass roof, known as the “Spaceship-Aqua,” is truly unique. You can stroll across it while enjoying nighttime views of the entire Sakae area. Once the lights come on, the nearby Nagoya TV Tower lights up too, creating a gorgeous scene. Even casual phone shots turn out great. I recommend visiting around sunset so you can experience both the daytime and nighttime atmosphere. It’s definitely worth adding to your Nagoya itinerary.

When the Spaceship-Aqua and the Nagoya TV Tower appear in the same frame, they create an image that really represents Nagoya. It has a different vibe during the day and at night. By day, it feels like an oasis in the city, and once the lights come on at night, it unexpectedly takes on a surreal feel.

That’s why I especially like coming here at night. It’s not just about enjoying the night view, but also about feeling the everyday rhythm of Nagoya.

It looks like a giant spaceship! During the day, it's just okay, but at night when the lights come on, it's actually pretty beautiful.
