Noboribetsu Onsen is a very famous hot spring destination in Hokkaido, known for its wide variety of spring waters and strong sulfur smell. What makes this place especially distinctive is the white steam rising everywhere and the noticeable scent of sulfur in the air, creating the unique atmosphere of a hot spring town.

Nearby, you can also visit attractions such as Jigokudani, Oyunuma, and Okunoyu, taking in the volcanic terrain and steam-filled scenery while experiencing the power of Hokkaido's natural landscape.

There are lots of hot spring hotels in Noboribetsu Onsen, and you can also shop for souvenirs and enjoy local food along the hot spring street. There are several scenic spots nearby, like Jigokudani and Oyunuma, all connected by walking paths. It's a great place to stroll around and explore!

It takes less than 10 minutes to walk from the Noboribetsu Onsen area to Jigokudani. This is where all the hot springs in Noboribetsu originate.

Noboribetsu Onsen is my favorite place! The Dai-ichi Takimotokan is fantastic—it's the oldest hot spring hotel there, and the huge bath area is like a hot spring amusement park. Highly recommended! 👍

There’s a hot spring street near Noboribetsu Onsen where you can check out souvenir shops, drugstores, and 100-yen shops. You can also visit places like Yuzawa Shrine, Enmado, and Sengen Park—lots of fun spots around Noboribetsu Onsen. Most of the hot spring hotels are located here too 🙏
