It's famous for its Christmas illuminations in winter, when the entire street is lit up with dazzling lights at night, creating a very romantic atmosphere. But visiting during cherry blossom season has its own charm, with cherry trees blooming on both sides and the soft pink sea of flowers complementing the streetscape. When a gentle breeze blows, the petals drift softly to the ground, adding a touch of romance and poetry. Whether you come for the winter lights or the spring cherry blossoms, it's well worth taking a walk here.

During a winter trip to Tokyo, I made a special evening visit to Roppongi Keyakizaka Street. As the sky darkened, the lights along both sides of the street gradually came on, instantly transforming the entire road into a magical winter scene. From the sidewalk, Tokyo Tower appeared perfectly centered in the sea of lights at the end of the street. Like many others, I waited for the red light and quickly stepped into the middle of the road to snap a photo. It may be a short street, but the illuminations fill it with a wonderful holiday atmosphere. It became one of my most unforgettable memories from Tokyo.

The illuminations on Roppongi Keyakizaka, shining in harmony with Tokyo Tower, are a classic part of the Christmas season in Tokyo and a place I’ve always wanted to visit. Seeing them in person was absolutely heart-stirring.
