Muko City in Kyoto is famous for its spicy foods. Kirinen, which took 1st place in the Muko City-originated “KARA-1 Grand Prix (Competition for Japan’s Spiciest Food),” is a restaurant known for being the Holy Land for those who like spicy food.

Omi-cho Market is a popular sightseeing spot located within walking distance of Kanazawa Station. They have a wide selection of not only fresh food products, but various restaurants and food you can eat while walking as well. This is a must-go place if you are going to Kanazawa!

Recently I visited Menya Hanabusa. The restaurant often ranks amongst Osaka best Ramen Shops and is popular because it offers artificial flavour-free and additive-free broth for it’s Ramen!

When you think of Kanazawa, you think of seafood like crab and shore dotterel. However, it is also famous for its sweets! The city as a whole consumes an incredible amount of sweets, so much that it is sometimes called the “Kingdom of Sweets”!This time, I visited “Fruits Parlor Murahata,” by and far one of the most popular shops in this Kingdom of Sweets!
「Tachijyuu sono」 Enjoy cutlass fish cuisine with gusto in Osaka.

「Tachijyuu sono」 is a Cutlass fish speciality shop in Osaka. It’s very rare to see a restaurant specialize in Cutlass fish and it`s even rare in Japan. As soon as the restaurant opens there are long line ups for the「Tachijyuu」 lunch. Lunch is limited to only 40 servings each day. Some people say the cutlass fish is as good as Unagi(eel) but cheaper and leaner.
Osaka – Near-Perfect Foamy Ramen “Fukuryu Ramen Wadachi”

This time, I visited “Fukuryu Ramen Wadachi,” a restaurant that offers chicken broth-based ramen topped with a mousse-like foam made from nitrous oxide. “Foamy” ramen has been all the rage in Kansai lately, and I had to try it out!Fukuryu Ramen Wadachi is a popular restaurant that always has a line!
The high quality food offered at the 「Ajino Izakaya Sakura bar」. It was as good as a Ryotei(Japanese style high end restaurant)!

Sakura Bar is an Izakaya well known by foodies. It’s just a 5 minute walk from Keihan Kiyomizu-gojo station . Though it’s an Izakaya(Japanese pub) they have a very good reputation. Many say their dishes are on par with what you would get at a Ryotei (expensive Japanese style restaurant). And it`s not just the locals who come to eat here, chefs also frequent this Izakaya. With this in mind, a trip to Sakura bar seems really promising.
The Temple of the Heavens that Overlooks the Kyoto Valley, “Sankoji”

Sankoji is a small, tucked away temple located at an altitude of 360 meters. It is the so-called “Temple of the Heavens” that overlooks the Kyoto valley.This time, I visited Sankoji after leaving Yoshimine-dera through the north gate. The two temples are adjacent to each other.

“SHORAIAN” is a Tofu Kaiseki cuisine speciality restaurant. Here, you can enjoy the transformation of the beautiful scenery throughout the 4 seasons. During Autumn this restaurant books up quickly.

I was excited to visit this ramen shop that had been generating a lot of buzz since it opened in August 2015. The place is always packed-and with good reason!
