Hokkaido has a wealth of wonderful products that make great souvenirs, and their sweets especially have proven to be extremely popular over the years. Kitakaro is a beloved sweets brand from Hokkaido that just opened its newest shop, Kitakaro Sapporo Honkan, in March 2016.
Enjoy "Sapporo Black" at Isono Kazuo, a Delicious, All-night Ramen Shop!

When people think of Sapporo, many think of Miso Ramen. Actually, there is a delicious ramen that only the locals know about. It's called "Sapporo Black", and you can try this specialty at Isono Kazuo, a ramen shop that's only open at night.
Rich seafood and Tonkotsu (pork bones) ! Sapporo Tsukemen 「Araton Main branch」

Unlike ordinary ramen, 「Tsukemen」style ramen is similar to Japanese 「Zarusoba」 style of eating noodles. You get the noodles and soup separately and you dip your noodles in the soup before each bite (slurp). This time, I visited the「Araton Main Branch 」where they are famous for Tsukemen style ramen.
