Super convenient—even works at hair salons!
The current limit is still 20,000, but I personally prefer loading up the green Suica card first. I call this one the penguin card!
I usually add money when the exchange rate is good. Some stores don’t accept it, but most do. As long as you tell the staff “cardo,” they’ll understand!
Ahhh, I really want to go to Japan!
Just keep in mind that it does expire. I have four cards, and every time I go, I have to make sure to use each one so I don’t forget!
But it only expires once every 10 years. My aunt’s family let theirs sit for 9 years, and the station staff actually laughed about it... haha
Seriously, who can stand not going to Japan for that long?
Also, these are virtual cards now—you can use them on your phone, and you can add them to your watch too!
If you link it to Apple Pay, you can reload it directly with a credit card, which is super convenient. I hope EasyCard can be added to Apple Pay too.

Kinoko no Yama
Kinoko no Yama, a long-selling product that represents Meiji Co., Ltd. (hereafter, Meiji), has been a beloved national chocolate snack across generations since its launch in 1975. Its most distinctive feature is its cute mushroom-shaped form. The cracker is light and fragrant, while the chocolate portion has a two-layer structure that gives it a smooth melt-in-the-mouth texture. The slight saltiness of the cracker brings out the sweetness, while the clean finish makes it easy to enjoy.
I actually took this photo at Costco. If you really like it, you can get it at Costco〜
I originally wanted to try it in Japan and then buy it when I got back if I liked it, so I wouldn't have to carry it around.
But when I went to Japan, I ended up buying Jagabee the whole time.
Sorry, Kinoko no Yama. I'll definitely buy you next time I go.
Pinky promise.
When I was browsing at Kuang Nan just now, I found a strawberry flavor〜 If you like it, you can check it out at Kuang Nan. -

Takenoko no Sato
Takenoko no Sato is one of the signature products of Meiji Co., Ltd. (hereafter, Meiji). Following the huge success of its sister product Kinoko no Yama, it was developed as the second product in the series with a completely different concept. Since its launch in 1979, it has remained a long-selling favorite with a history of more than 45 years.
I haven't tried these yet because I just never felt like buying them. But everyone on the forum says they're good, so I'll definitely try them next time I go to Japan〜
They seem like chocolate with a really cool shape〜
I saw that my friend bought these on a trip to Japan, and I asked him to save a pack for me. But we couldn't find time to meet, so his older sister ate them. So funny.
Why have more than half of my friends almost disappeared when we only started working not that long ago?
So sad? -

Omiyage Kaido Kaikyo Plaza
This souvenir specialty store is located in the "Kaikyo Plaza" commercial complex in the nostalgic Mojiko Retro area. A wide variety of souvenirs from the Mojiko area are on display, including banana snacks unique to Mojiko, which is said to be the birthplace of Banana Auction, and products related to Mojiko's famous gourmet, yaki curry.
This is probably the part I regret missing the most?
I was thinking of looking around outside, but I ended up having no time to come back because I also wanted to go to Kokura, so I really only took a few photos.
But there’s a capsule toy shop inside with those things where you draw a key. You can find them everywhere, but this place has a lot of different kinds, like crystals, old coins, and some pretty cool decorations?
But I didn’t try any because they were a little expensive hahaha.
It’s a good place to duck into on a rainy day and browse around. It seems like it would be easy to buy lots of souvenirs there.
But it’s a little far from Fukuoka, so I just told myself it was fine that I didn’t buy anything.
Don’t you think that chef looks a little shady?
I thought it was pretty interesting. -
