You can see hawks circling up close at a very short distance.

Atsuta Jingu (Atsuta Shrine)
About 1900 years ago, one of the Three Sacred Treasures (in Japanese mythology, the goddess, Amaterasu-Omikami, conferred on them. They were handed down as the proof of imperial succession), Kusanagi-no-tsurugi (sacred sword) , was dedicated here, which is said to be the beginning of this shrine.
On our self-guided trip in Nagoya, we took the train to Atsuta Jingu Nishi Station.
The shrine grounds are very spacious, surrounded by greenery, and incredibly peaceful.
They also sell all kinds of omamori, where you can pray for safety and good luck. It’s a great place for tourists to visit, pay their respects, and take photos. -
