Bansuiso is a historic Western-style building. It was built in 1922 and was originally a villa for Hisamatsu Sadakoto, a descendant of the lord of the Matsuyama domain. Since Hisamatsu Sadakoto had lived in France, Bansuiso has a strong European influence in its design and is very different from traditional Japanese architecture. Inside, you can see ornate decorations, beautiful stained glass, and elegant staircases and rooms, giving you a sense of the aristocratic lifestyle of the time. Bansuiso later hosted members of the Imperial Family, giving it special historical significance.

JR Kyoto Isetan
JR Kyoto Isetan is a mega department store directly connected to Kyoto Station Building on its west side.
While traveling, I passed through JR Kyoto Station and stopped by Isetan to stock up on Ogurasansou rice crackers. Their rice crackers aren’t too hard, and the seasoning is mild, making them irresistible to both adults and children. Whether it’s the classic “Yama Shunju” or senbei in flavors like seaweed and curry, they’re all delicious and make great gifts.

NEWoMan Yokohana
NEWoMan Yokohama is a commercial facility operated by Lumine. It occupies the 1st through 10th floors of "JR Yokohama Tower," a station building directly connected to the west exit of Yokohama Station.
When I came to shop at NEWoMan Yokohama, I made a special trip to find MAISON CACAO, which my Japanese coworker highly recommended! Their signature item is the incredibly moist and aromatic nama chocolate. It melts in your mouth and bursts with a delightful fruity aroma. There are three flavors, and they were gone as soon as I opened the package〜

Shiba Park
One of the first places designated as a park in Japan in 1873. Adjacent to Zojoji Temple and Shiba Toshogu Shrine, nearby Tokyo Tower can be viewed from anywhere in the park.
Shiba Park is an excellent spot for photographing Tokyo Tower. The open views and lack of obstructions let you perfectly capture the majestic tower against the lush greenery. Whether you look up at it during the day or enjoy the illumination at night, you can easily take iconic photos of Tokyo!
