To get to Kunozan Toshogu Shrine, you first take the cable car, with beautiful views of the forest and Suruga Bay along the way. After arriving, you climb the stone steps, surrounded by lush green trees. Walking up the steps feels like traveling through time.
The shrine buildings themselves are also very ornate, with vermilion structures and intricate carvings. The details are really worth taking your time to appreciate.
Looking out over Suruga Bay from the mountain, the ocean view combined with the ancient shrine creates a very special atmosphere〜
The whole trip is a little tiring, but the scenery and atmosphere along the way make it well worth it!

Yakimono Sanpo-michi
Tokoname City in Aichi Prefecture has long been known as an area where the ceramics industry has flourished. Yakimono Sanpo-michi is a popular walking area where visitors can experience the history and culture of Tokoname ware, which has long been counted among Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns. Centered around a ceramics district that thrived most in the early Showa period, the area offers scenery distinctive to a pottery town, including brick chimneys, a climbing kiln, workshops with black walls, and retaining walls made with clay pipes and shochu bottles.
Tokoname—a well-known pottery town in Japan. Walking through the alleys of the old town, you'll see pottery, kiln bricks, and cute beckoning cats everywhere, adding plenty of good fortune and charm to the streets.

Chibi Maruko-chan Land
Japan’s one and only museum dedicated to the beloved manga “Chibi Maruko-chan” is located in Shizuoka, the hometown of the series’ creator Momoko Sakura. Inside you’ll find 3 different zones to explore.
As soon as you step into the world of Chibi Maruko-chan, it really feels like you're going back to your childhood.
The familiar Maruko, her classmates, and all kinds of classic scenes are brought to life in 3D. As you walk around taking pictures, you can't help looking for the characters you know.
You may also get a chance to interact and take pictures with “Maruko herself”!
There are 2 appearances on weekdays and 3 on holidays. If the timing works out, I highly recommend adding it to your plans. Seeing Maruko appear in person is really cute!
Chibi Maruko-chan Land is also inside S-PULSE DREAM PLAZA, so after visiting, you can grab a meal, browse the shops, and do some shopping, making it very convenient to plan your day. -

Miho no Matsubara
About 30,000 pine trees grow along the 5-km-long coastline, a scenic spot that has attracted people from all walks of life since ancient times. It is one of Japan's three new scenic spots and one of Japan's three great pine groves. In 2013, it was registered as a component of the World Cultural Heritage of Mt Fuji.
When you come to Shizuoka, don't miss this classic spot for views of Mt. Fuji!
Miho no Matsubara stretches about 7 kilometers along Suruga Bay, with a vast pine grove and deep blue ocean views. When the weather is clear, you can see Mt. Fuji, the pine trees, and the ocean all in one beautiful scene. Stroll through the pine grove, feel the fresh sea breeze and enjoy the natural scenery beneath Mt.
