After wrapping up a day of sightseeing in Kyoto, consider heading to the Kyoto Porta underground shopping mall next to Kyoto Station in the evening! It has restaurants, souvenir shops, drugstores, everyday goods, and a supermarket where you can pick up snacks, drinks, and daily necessities. Whether you're having dinner, shopping, or making some last-minute purchases, it's very convenient.

SOU-SOU Isemomen
SOU-SOU is a textile design brand born in Kyoto. Focusing on lifestyle items that fit modern Japanese life, the brand focuses on using traditional materials and methods while upholding the concept of “creating a new kind of Japanese culture”. Inside you’ll find a wide range of items including jikatabi, kimono, Japanese sweets and furniture.

Medicinal Pyuora Toothpaste [quasi-pharmaceutical products]
This medicated toothpaste was developed for periodontal troubles such as stickiness, bad breath, and gingivitis. It comes in three types: Clean Mint, Strong Mint, and Mild Herb.
I recently bought Kao Medicated PureOra Toothpaste for an older family member to try. It's designed to help prevent periodontal disease and is convenient for daily oral care. This line also has a whitening version, so you can choose based on your needs. Japanese drugstores really do have a wide selection of toothpastes, with different products for periodontal care, bad breath, whitening, and more. However, whitening toothpaste should be used in moderation to balance cleaning with dental health.

Yodobashi Camera Multimedia Akiba Store
It is a complex facility located in Akihabara, known as Tokyo's Denki-Gai (its commercial district with many electronics retail stores.) It's the core store of the Yodobashi-Akiba complex.
Visiting an electronics store is also a must when traveling to Japan. This time, I specifically came to Yodobashi to look for the highly talked-about Panasonic beauty device. After buying it and using it at home, I found it quite effective at tightening facial contours and reducing nasolabial folds. The specially designed head fits the curves of the face very well. Best of all, it can greatly speed up the absorption of daily skincare products, delivering serum deep into the skin and making your skincare routine much more effective!
