Tokushima Prefectural Museum, a treasure trove of knowledge where you can explore Shikoku’s history and rich natural environment in depth!

Located in Tokushima Bunka-no-Mori Park, the museum’s exhibitions focus on “Tokushima’s Nature and Culture,” with an extensive collection and displays of actual artifacts covering everything from dinosaur fossils and geological changes to the history of Awa Odori and the culture of early modern castle towns. The layout is easy to follow, and there are many lively, interactive exhibit areas that both adults and children can easily enjoy. It’s perfect for a half-day itinerary and a great place to bring the family for an educational and fulfilling cultural experience!

As soon as you enter, you'll see an enormous moving Tyrannosaurus rex model that roars. It's so realistic that both adults and children can't help but get excited. The museum not only offers detailed exhibits on Toyama's unique terrain and ecosystem, from the Tateyama Mountain Range to Toyama Bay, but also has many hands-on interactive science displays that do an excellent job of making learning fun. Add in the modern digital planetarium with its excellent starry-sky effects, and this is a 5-star educational family attraction where you can have a great time in Toyama, rain or shine!
