BEAMS is one of my personal favorite clothing brands. The Ginza store has a stylish, upscale feel, and the displays are very tasteful. It’s a great place to browse and get a feel for the brand’s style, but if you’re hoping to find a bargain, you might be a little disappointed, as there aren’t many discounted items. BEAMS fans may want to visit, but with such beautiful products and those prices, it can be hard to make a purchase.

Ginza Matsuzaki Senbei Main Shop
A long-standing Senbei (a type of Japanese cracker) shop, founded in 1804. The “Oedo Matsuzaki Sanmido” Kawara Senbei, representing the Matsuzaki Senbei, has a smooth surface on which a craftsman will carefully paint a seasonal motif with syrup, one by one. It uses plenty of eggs, and the light sweetness with a crispy pleasant texture is loved by a wide range of customers.
Ginza Matsuzaki Senbei is a long-established Tokyo senbei shop founded in 1804, known for its traditionally handcrafted rice crackers. Its signature “Oedo Matsuzaki Koyomi” features seasonal scenes painted on the crackers, making each one look like a small work of art, delicate and full of Japanese charm. The shop also offers a variety of senbei and wagashi, all elegantly packaged and perfect as gifts. They taste a little like Taiwanese tile cookies.

Since its establishment in New York in 1837, this jewelry brand has continued to attract celebrities from around the world. In Japan, Tiffany & Co. operates stores in various locations and has three boutiques in Ginza, Tokyo. The Tiffany Ginza Flagship Store, located along Chuo-dori Avenue, is positioned as the flagship store in Japan, where customers can enjoy an elegant shopping experience in a luxurious interior.
The Tiffany Ginza Flagship Store is very close to the Mitsukoshi department store. The iconic Tiffany Blue sign and window displays always make you want to take a second look. In recent years, the favorable Japanese yen exchange rate and tax-free shopping have attracted many international travelers to Japan specifically to buy jewelry and luxury goods. When shopping in Ginza, this famous store is also a popular stop for many people. Even if you don't buy anything, just browsing is a real treat!

Ukokkei-an “Silkie Egg Castella”
A signature product from Ukokkei-an, which operates a dedicated farm center for raising silky chickens deep in the mountains of Kanazawa, Ishikawa, surrounded by lush trees. True to its name, it’s made with plenty of fresh eggs laid by silky chickens as a main ingredient, and each loaf is carefully baked by skilled craftsmen from preparation through baking.
When visiting Kanazawa, it’s really easy to be drawn in by all the glittering gold leaf desserts! I’d heard that Ukokkei-an’s Silkie Egg Castella was quite famous, so I made a special trip to check it out. Made with silkie chicken eggs, the cake has a rich egg flavor and a delicate, moist texture, with the natural sweetness of honey. The top is covered with a layer of shimmering gold leaf, making it a distinctive souvenir as well.
