I went shopping at Kawaramachi OPA in Kyoto. The entire department store has plenty of clothing, accessories, and household goods to browse at a relaxed pace, with a pretty wide variety of stores. This time I also bought a few pieces of clothing I liked, and I was very happy to bring home my finds while shopping! If you happen to be shopping in Kawaramachi, it's worth making time to stop in and look around. You might also find some clothes or small items you like.

Kyoto Takashimaya S.C.
Perched on the southwest corner of the bustling Shijo Kawaramachi intersection in Kyoto, this large-scale retailer keeps a long and bold history since its infancy as the “Takashimaya” vintage clothing cotton merchant that founded in the local year of Tempo 2 (1831). The brand moved to Kawaramachi-Takatsuji as the first privately-owned, reinforced concrete commercial building during the Meiji era in 1912, and has since then moved to its current spot as a market center in 1946.
Kyoto Takashimaya S.C. is right in the Kawaramachi area, so it's convenient to stop by while shopping. There are lots of clothing, household goods, food, and souvenirs to browse, and the overall space is very comfortable. On this trip to Kyoto, besides enjoying the street scenery, I also made time to visit Takashimaya S.C. and look at the wide variety of products. It was a lot of fun to shop around.

Marine Rouge
A restaurant ship offering scenic views and fine dining while cruising Yokohama Port. Departing from and returning to Pier Aka-Renga Sea Bass Terminal, it offers an elegant cruise with views from the water of Yokohama landmarks such as Minato Mirai, Yokohama Bay Bridge, and Yamashita Park. Authentic French cuisine prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients is served on board.
While visiting Yokohama, I made special plans to take the Marine Rouge restaurant cruise, enjoying a meal while admiring the harbor scenery. As the boat slowly left the pier, the view before me also began to change. Seeing Yokohama from the water felt different from viewing it on land.
During the meal, I could enjoy the coastal scenery through the windows, watching the city buildings, harbor, and ocean stretch into the distance. The atmosphere was very relaxing. As the boat continued along, I could also see Yokohama's cityscape from different angles, giving the entire meal an extra sense of occasion.
Rather than simply taking a boat ride to see the scenery, Marine Rouge combines food with harbor views, making the meal itself part of the itinerary. Feeling the sea breeze and looking out at Yokohama at night left me with a very memorable experience.
