This is one of the most popular zoos in Chiba and a common destination for school field trips in Japan! You can get there directly by monorail, so it's very convenient. The zoo isn't particularly large, and about 1.5–2 hours should be just right for a leisurely stroll around. I had specifically planned to come see the animals, but it turned out to be a day when the zoo was closed. All I could do was take a photo at the entrance as a keepsake to show that “I came but didn't get in.” I'll find time to come back and see the cute animals next time!

Nagareyama Otakanomori SC
A shopping center in Nagareyama City, Chiba Prefecture, which has been growing in popularity especially among families thanks to its great location-just 20 minutes by train to central Tokyo-and has recently been gaining attention as a desirable place to live. It is directly connected to Nagareyama-ōtakanomori Station, served by two lines-the Tsukuba Express and the Tobu Urban Park Line-and is very easy to access, with 1,800 parking spaces in the main building alone.
來到流山大鷹之森，第一個感覺就是--真的超方便！商場直接連接車站，不用走很遠，搭電車來逛街非常輕鬆。
整座購物中心規模很大，分成主樓與附屬大樓，裡面有各式各樣的商店、餐廳，生活用品、服飾、美食通通有，選擇非常豐富，反而會讓人有種「到底要逛哪一家？」的幸福困擾，而且這裡也算是很親子友善的商場，空間寬敞，推著嬰兒車逛街也不太會覺得不方便，帶小朋友來也很適合。
商場裡還有一處庭院式的公園，逛街逛累了，可以到戶外走走、稍微放鬆一下，是很舒服的小角落。如果要說一個小缺點，就是我覺得商場裡的休息座位稍微少了一點，逛久了想找地方坐下來休息，反而不太容易找到位置。
不過整體來說，交通方便、店家選擇多，又有美食和親子空間，還是很適合安排半天來逛逛。

Chiba Makuhari Seaside Park
Located in the middle of Makuhari New City, the park’s theme is “surrounded by greenery and sea.” In seven areas from A to G, the facilities include a large lawn, one of the largest floral clocks in Japan, a Japanese garden, and a tea room.
While visiting Makuhari New City, I unexpectedly came across the incredibly spacious Chiba Makuhari Seaside Park! The park’s theme is “a city park surrounded by greenery and the sea.” It consists of seven areas, A through G, and is huge. The expansive lawns make it feel especially open and relaxing as soon as you enter.
In addition to its famous large lawn and Japan’s largest floral clock, the park also has a Japanese garden and tea room with a traditional atmosphere, offering completely different scenery. There are also sports fields, children’s play areas, and other facilities nearby. It’s a great place for families with children to get outside, as well as for walking, relaxing, or spending a leisurely afternoon sitting on the grass.
There were noticeably more people when I visited on a holiday, and the entire park felt lively. It’s really rare to find such a large green space among the high-rise buildings of Makuhari New City!

Akebonoyama Agricultural Park
It is an agricultural park known for its flower garden with a windmill. The seasonal flowers welcome you in each season, starting with cherry blossoms and tulips in spring, then approximately 500 hydrangeas in summer.
Akebonoyama Agricultural Park has expansive natural scenery, and the flowers change with the seasons, creating beautiful and distinctive views throughout the year.
There’s none of the noise and bustle of the city, just greenery and fields of flowers as far as the eye can see. Walking through the park with a gentle breeze feels especially relaxing. It’s not only a place to enjoy flowers, but also a great spot for a leisurely walk, taking photos, and slowly appreciating the natural beauty of the Japanese countryside.
There are different flowers to enjoy in every season. If you love plants and flowers and prefer quiet attractions, you really shouldn’t miss it.
