I really liked the lively atmosphere of Dotonbori, especially at night. I specifically took a boat ride to enjoy the nighttime views of Dotonbori. The lights on both sides of the river and the bustling streets looked really beautiful from the water! The restaurants along the river were almost all packed with people, giving it a real big-city feel. I also went to a nearby American-style okonomiyaki restaurant and happened to get a seat with a view of Dotonbori at night. Eating okonomiyaki while enjoying the scenery was such a pleasure!

Tower of Osaka Castle
Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who unified the country during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1568-1600), began construction of the tower of Osaka Castle in 1583 and completed it in 1585. The castle was later destroyed during the Osaka Natsu no Jin(summer campaign of Osaka) in 1615, but was rebuilt by the Tokugawa Shogunate in 1626. However, the castle keep was destroyed by lightning in 1665. In 1931, the castle tower of the Toyotomi period was reconstructed with donations from Osaka citizens.
I came to Osaka Castle for a walk while I was here to run the Osaka Marathon in February 2025! It was extremely cold at the time, but the sun happened to come out and made me feel warm. With Osaka Castle in the background, it was really beautiful, and every photo looked good! You can also take a boat ride to see Osaka Castle. Each floor inside has different historical artifacts, and from the top floor you can see views of the city of Osaka. If you're visiting Osaka, it's definitely worth adding to your itinerary!

Universal Studios Japan
Universal Studios Japan, nicknamed “USJ”, is a large-scale theme park with entertainment for everyone, both children and adults alike. The park is separated into different areas, each with a different theme from popular titles across the world.
Universal Studios Japan is definitely worth visiting! The atmosphere in the park is great. From the rides and set designs to the overall experience, everything makes you feel as if you've stepped into the world of movies and video games. My favorite was Super Nintendo World. The design is incredibly detailed, and it really feels like you've entered Mario's world. It's not only great for photos, but also has lots of fun interactive experiences that really draw you in. If you like video games and theme parks, you definitely shouldn't miss this place. Highly recommended! Mario 🍄
