This time I visited Kobe Harborland, originally just planning to browse the mall, but it turned out to be much bigger than I expected and really fun to explore! The shopping area is divided into the South Mall and North Mall and is also connected to umie MOSAIC. There are so many stores, offering everything from clothing and household goods to restaurants. Before you know it, you can easily spend most of the day here, and you wouldn't get bored even if you planned to stay all day.
The mall's family-friendly facilities are also quite thoughtful. On the first floor, there's a large area of artificial grass where kids can run around and get some exercise. There's also a piano nearby that anyone can play, adding a few fun little surprises while shopping.
I also really liked the umie MOSAIC area. It has lots of unique shops and restaurants, and the best part is that it's right next to Kobe Port. You can stroll along the waterfront, enjoy the beautiful harbor views, and see Kobe Port Tower in the distance. With the sea breeze and ocean views, the whole atmosphere is very relaxing.
It's also very convenient to get to. It's less than a 10-minute walk from JR Kobe Station or the subway station, and parking is available if you drive.
This isn't just a shopping mall—it combines shopping, dining, family activities, and beautiful harbor views. When you get tired of shopping, you can take a walk by the water, which makes the whole experience very pleasant. I highly recommend adding this spot to your Kobe itinerary. You can easily spend an entire day here!
