I bought the famous “Sapporo Agricultural College Hokkaido Milk Cookies” in Japan. I’ve always liked Japanese butter cookies, and these definitely didn’t disappoint! As soon as I opened the package, I could smell a light buttery aroma. The cookies look simple and unassuming, without a lot of fancy decoration.
I originally thought they would just be ordinary milk cookies, but they tasted even better than I expected!

Yamazaki’s Lunch Pack is an affordable bread product commonly found in Japanese supermarkets and convenience stores. The packaging is simple and convenient, making it a good choice for breakfast or an afternoon snack. When you open the package, there’s a faint aroma of bread. The bread itself feels soft and has a fluffy texture, not dry or hard.
It’s very convenient to eat and can be enjoyed straight from the package without heating. With each bite, you can feel how soft the bread is, and together with the filling, it makes for a simple yet satisfying snack. Japanese bread also comes in many flavors, so whenever I visit a supermarket, I can’t help checking to see if there are any different flavors to try.
Inokashira Park
Inokashira Park, stretching across Musashino City and Mitaka City in Tokyo, opened in 1917 as the first imperial gift park in Japan, and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2017.
Inokashira Park, near Kichijoji in Tokyo, is an urban park that’s perfect for slowing down and enjoying a relaxing time. The biggest attraction is the large pond in the center, surrounded by lush trees. Together with the reflections on the water, the entire view has a wonderful atmosphere. Once you enter the park, it feels as though you’ve temporarily escaped the bustle of central Tokyo and found a sense of peace and relaxation.
While walking along the path beside the pond, you can see many people relaxing by the water, as well as others leisurely rowing boats across it. When a gentle breeze blows, ripples spread across the pond and the leaves along the shore sway in the wind. You can also occasionally hear birds singing, making the whole setting feel very pleasant.
Hibiya Chanter
Hibiya, known as the Holy Ground of Tokyo’s arts scene, is where many theaters and cinemas are concentrated. Here, you’ll find a venerable retail complex.
This shopping mall near Hibiya Station is in a very convenient location. The first thing you notice when you walk inside is the comfortable yet lively shopping atmosphere. There are all kinds of stores, restaurants, and shops selling household goods, making you want to browse them one by one at a leisurely pace.
Exploring the mall was more interesting than I expected. As I slowly walked through each floor and looked at the window displays, distinctive items would often catch my attention and make me stop. Every store has a different style—some are elegant, while others have a strong sense of design—and it’s easy to lose track of time. When I saw something I liked, I couldn’t help picking it up for a closer look and enjoying the pleasure of shopping at a relaxed pace. When you get tired, you can also find a restaurant, sit down, and take a short break.
