The scenery by the lake is beautiful, making it a great place for a walk. If you time it right, you can even see Mt. Fuji in the distance at sunset.

Tanesashi Coast Information Center
A Ministry of the Environment facility that introduces and explains the nature and culture of the Sanriku Fukko National Park, with a focus on the Tanesashi Coast, where you can observe a wide variety of plants, and the Hashikami-Dake area. It also shares information on the nature and daily life along the Michinoku Shiokaze Trail, which stretches along the spectacular Pacific coastline, and offers opportunities and hands-on programs to experience them.
There are displays introducing the local ecosystem, plants, and animals. It’s nice and cool inside with the AC, and the big windows look out over the grasslands and the ocean.
A great place to pop in when you’re tired—rest a bit, refill your water, and take some photos. The overall vibe is super relaxing! -
Li-Ka1920
This shopping mall is located in a high-rise tower in the redevelopment area of JR Kagoshima Chuo Station, the gateway terminal to Kagoshima, and offers a wide variety of stores from the 1st to 7th floors, ranging from household goods to fashion, lifestyle and beauty.
I recommend the restaurant upstairs—the city view while you eat is really relaxing.

Kinkaku-ji
During the Muromachi Period, the 3rd Ashikaga shogun, Yoshimitsu, made an abode in this temple called Kitayamadono. It was named as Rokuon-ji after the posthumous name of Yoshimitsu. He had also built Shokoku-ji Temple, and Rokuon-ji, his retirement home, was turned into a branch temple of Shokoku-ji.
The appearance of Kinkaku-ji is breathtaking. The gold-leaf-covered building sparkles in the sunlight, and its reflection on the Mirror Pond looks like something out of a fairy tale.
