I saw lots of backpackers from Europe and America interested in the rock garden. The design of Ryoanji's garden is philosophical and has a mysterious meaning. They say if you can see all 15 stones at once, you've reached enlightenment.

Osaka Station City opened in 2011 as a "city" where train stations, department stores, commercial facilities, recreational opportunities, hotels, offices, services, and plazas come together. It celebrated its 10th anniversary in May 2021.
Osaka Station City is huge! There are department stores, restaurants, and cafes—everything you need. You could easily spend a whole day here. It's super convenient, directly connected to JR Osaka Station, so you can start exploring as soon as you get off the train.

Obaku-san Manpuku-ji Temple
Manpuku-ji is the head temple associated with the Obaku Zen sect, one of three major Zen sects in Japan. The temple was founded in 1661 by the Chinese high monk Ingen Zenji, still offering a glimpse into the tapestry of Chinese culture of the day including architecture, ceremonial customs and authentic cuisine.
Turns out this Zen temple came from the Ming Dynasty in China, which explains why the architectural details have such a special vibe.

Awesome! The burger is juicy and hearty, with fresh toppings and perfectly toasted buns. I felt super satisfied after eating. The shop has a cozy, local vibe—definitely a must-try when you're in Yufuin!
