The Golden Hall is a building from when Chuson-ji Temple was founded. Inside, it's dazzling with gold and really shows off the craftsmanship of that era.

Shizuoka Sengen Shrine
Kanbe Shrine, Asama Shrine and Otoshimioya Shrine all come together in the collectively named site, "Osengensan”. Revered as the head shrine of the ancient Suruga Province (or modern day central Shizuoka), legend has it that Tokugawa Ieyasu was once known as Takechiyo in his youth before completing his coming-of-age ceremony here at this Tokugawa-family cherished site during the Edo period.
There are shops and tea houses nearby where you can try local snacks and sweets, which adds a nice touch of relaxation to your visit.

Nakasu Yataigai (food stall street)
In the gourmet city Hakata, Nakasu Yataigai lets you experience specialized gourmet food - ramen, skewered food, Oden, etc. to go with sake and other drinks. Naka River runs through Kyushu’s busiest downtown, Nakasu. Bright neon lights sparkle on the water and it is quite a sight that all kinds of food stalls are lined along the river! Strolling along the river allows you to catch the energy of the city.
There are so many unique food stalls here, offering Hakata ramen, yakitori, tempura, grilled chicken skewers, oden, and more. Each stall has its own specialties and signature dishes—it's almost overwhelming in the best way!

Mt. Yoshino
Mt. Yoshino is acclaimed as the best spot to see cherry blossoms in all of Japan. In the spring, the entire mountain is washed with flowering trees as they bloom from the Shimosenbon (the lower 1,000 trees) at the foothills up to the Okusembon (the inner 1,000 trees).
If you have some free time on your day off, it's nice to come here for a stroll and take in the sights.
