The exhibitions are really diverse, and the space is spacious and comfortable. There's also a café and a shop to check out.

Sobadokoro Tenan
Conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the Miyazaki Kotsu Takachiho Bus Center, Sobadokoro Tenan is a must-visit spot for soba lovers. Using locally sourced soba flour from Takachiho, the restaurant hand-grinds it on a stone mill and serves it as handmade ni-hachi soba, renowned for its rich aroma and smooth texture.
The handmade soba noodles are so fragrant, with a chewy and layered texture. The broth is light and not too salty, and I felt super satisfied after eating. The atmosphere inside is simple and warm—it's the kind of little place you'd want to come back to!

Nakatsu Castle
Built at a strategic location at the mouth of the Nakatsu River, it is the oldest modern castle in Kyushu, a water castle (sea castle) that utilizes seawater drawn into the moat. Along with Imabari Castle and Takamatsu Castle, it is considered one of the "Three Great Water Castles of Japan. "
Nakatsu Castle is now a museum, showcasing a wealth of historical artifacts and information so visitors can learn about the castle's history.

Kinrin Lake
Kinrin Lake is one of many popular tourist spots in the hot springs town of Yufuin. The lake sits under Mt. Yufu and as such was called takemoto-no-ike (lit. “lake under the mountain”) for years. However, it was renamed to Kinrin, or “golden scales”, by Mori Kuso in 1884 when he saw the golden glimmering scales of fish as they swam at sunset.
There are some small tea houses and cafes by the lake where you can enjoy a cup of tea while taking in the view. There are also walking paths around the lake, so you can stroll along the shore, admire the scenery, and soak up the peaceful atmosphere.
