This is a huge temple complex with lots of historical sites preserved. Walking up the slope, the massive trees on both sides create such a relaxing vibe.

JR Tower Observatory T38
JR Tower is a multiplex venue located in Sapporo adjacent to JR Sapporo Station. The top floor, on the 38th is the “JR Tower Observatory T38”. This observatory up 160m in height lets visitors see Ishikari Bay New Port to the North, Mt. Teine to the West, Sapporo City, and Sapporo Dome to the South.
During the day, you get a full view of the city and the natural scenery. At night, Sapporo lights up beautifully—especially in winter, when the snowy landscape and night views are just stunning.

Nikko Toshogu
Nikko Toshogu is a shrine dedicated to the Edo shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa. It is the most visited spot within the World Heritage Site “Shrines and Temples of Nikko,” and here you can see 55 exceptional buildings, including 8 that have been designated as national treasures and 34 that have been designated as Important Cultural Properties.
This World Heritage Site is where Tokugawa Ieyasu rests. Toshogu Shrine is incredibly lavish and really shows off the Tokugawa shogunate's power back in the day.
