Kazurabashi Bridge (Fukui Prefecture)
Ikeda Town in Fukui Prefecture is home to abundant nature and beautiful satoyama countryside scenery. Spanning the Asuwa River, where trees seem to arch overhead, is a rare suspension bridge made from kazura vines, measuring 44 m long, 1.8 m wide, and 12 m high.
The whole place feels მშვიდ and comfortable. It’s not crowded, and walking across it gives you that sense of time slowing down.
It’s great for a stroll, zoning out, or casually snapping a few photos. If you like lively places, you might find it a bit ordinary, but if you’re looking for some peace and quiet, it’s just right. -
Tokiwado Kaminari-okoshi Honpo
Tokiwado Kaminari-okoshi Honpo Kaminarimon Main Store sits tall on two centuries of renown as an “okoshi” confectionery shop from its spot just steps from Asakusa's iconic Kaminarimon Gate. Okoshi is a traditional Japanese sweet made by binding roasted rice, millet, or other grains with a sweet syrup (such as sugar or malt syrup). It is well-loved for its crispy texture, pleasant aroma, and subtle sweetness. Kaminari-okoshi, the shop’s signature product, combines puffed rice with ingredients like peanuts.
This long-established rice cracker shop is fantastic! The snacks are crispy and flavorful without being too sweet. There are lots of flavors to choose from, and you can even try samples. Perfect as a souvenir or just for snacking yourself.

“Fun on the Raft” in Naruto
The Uchinoumi seawaters are located in the northeast area of Naruto in Tokushima Prefecture. Hugged between Shimada and Oge Islands, the calm waters were once a popular locale for pearl farmers. Today, these rafting rigs can be used as a special place to enjoy fishing and BBQing above the sea.
Such a unique experience! Sitting on a wooden raft out on the sea, fishing and enjoying the ocean view—it's super relaxing and fun. You really get to take in Naruto's natural beauty up close. Highly recommend giving it a try!
