Noroshi Honten
You should expect a line at this popular tsukemen shop. The soup for the tsukemen uses pork bone and chicken broth, as well as dashi from mackerel, skipjack, and other seafood. Although it is very rich, it is easy to eat.
Noroshi is super popular, so be ready to wait in line if you want their tsukemen.
After you finish your noodles, you can pour broth into the leftover dipping sauce and enjoy it as a soup—such a nice touch!
They also have other great dishes, like the curry tsukemen with bold spices, and the dry noodles loaded with green onions, chashu, and a raw egg.
So many options here—definitely worth trying! -
Sato san’s Rest
This guesthouse is run by a couple who were former backpackers and is popular for its homely and warm services. Situated in the nostalgic downtown arcade street "Joyful Minowa Shopping Street", one of its charms is that you can experience the good old atmosphere of Japan. Strolling through the shopping street and eating downtown food such as yakitori, tempura, and Japanese sweets is also fun.
Besides staying here, you can walk around and take lots of photos. It's perfect for modern women who love taking selfies and being stylish online.

In 2017, the "Khaosan World Ryogoku Hostel" hostel opened in Tokyo. The nearest station is Ryogoku Station, where both the TOEI Oedo Line and JR Sobu Main Line pass through. The Ryogoku Kokugikan, famous for its sumo tournaments, is also within walking distance. Both dormitory beds and private rooms are available, and up to 10 people can stay in a private room.
