From the observation deck at Goryokaku Tower, you can really take in the star-shaped design of Goryokaku. It's a unique view you just can't get from the ground.

Oyster & Smoked BAR SANGO
Over in Hiroshima Station’s West Exit area (nicknamed “Ekinishi”) sits Oyster & Smoked BAR SANGO, an authentic oyster bar serving up local Hiroshima oysters and bites from across Japan in raw, grilled, fried, steamed plates and more.
Such a great vibe! The raw oysters are super fresh, and the smoked dishes are really flavorful without being too salty. They pair perfectly with drinks. The lighting inside is a bit dim, but it feels classy—perfect for a casual drink, a chat, or even a date. Overall, an awesome experience!

Mount Miune
A mountain with an elevation of 1,235 m that straddles Mitsue Village in eastern Nara Prefecture and Matsusaka City and Tsu City in Mie Prefecture. Designated as part of Murou Akame Aoyama Quasi-National Park and counted among Japan’s 300 Famous Mountains, it offers nature that changes beautifully with the seasons. Hacchodaira, a plain-like area spreading out just below the summit on the Mie side, is a popular scenic viewpoint.
The air here is super fresh, and the whole place feels so მშვიდ and serene. The hike up is a little challenging, but the views are absolutely worth it.
The forest along the way is really dense, so it stays cool in the summer. In the fall, you get to see the mountains covered in red leaves. So beautiful~ -
Hakodate Bugyosho
Hakodate Magistrate’s Office faithfully recreates the Edo Shognate’s security base around Japan’s northern territory. It is built at the original location in the former Goryokaku (the star-shaped fort), using as much similar skills and provisions as those in the Edo Period, such as pine beams, Bingo tatami mats or sliding doors with hand-made paper.
The wooden structure and exquisite wood carvings really showcase traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Every detail faithfully recreates the splendor of the past.
