The squirrels are super cute, but honestly, the smell is a bit much...
If you're planning to visit, it's probably best to come in autumn or winter.

MACHI café
LAWSON is a convenience store chain with approximately 14,500 stores across Japan. In addition to selling food and daily necessities, LAWSON also focuses on product development, including freshly brewed in-store coffee and sweets. One of its signature services is MACHI café.
Whenever I come to Japan, I have to drink convenience store coffee every day. I personally recommend LAWSON the most, especially for people who like their coffee black.
It has fewer off-flavors, and the overall taste is more balanced. Most importantly, you can only drink it when you come to Japan, which is actually a huge plus.
By the way, I always thought it was called LAWSON coffee, but it turns out it’s called MACHI café. -

Barbacoa Shinjuku
The Shinjuku location of Barbacoa, an authentic churrasco restaurant headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil. Popular as a renowned restaurant where guests can experience the flavors and style of Brazil just as they are, making it the only place of its kind in Japan. Although it is in the heart of the city, it is known for its richly exotic atmosphere that invites you into South American food culture as soon as you open the door.
Not only was the Brazilian barbecue delicious, but the vegetables were also incredibly good.
However, the dessert bar had very few options. Besides the meat and vegetables, if the desserts were good, it would be perfect! -

Shiga Kogen
A vast highland in the heart of Joshinetsu Kogen National Park, also designated as one of only nine UNESCO Eco Parks in Japan. With an elevation difference of as much as 1,000 meters, it supports rich vegetation and lets visitors enjoy nature full of diversity. In winter, 18 ski resorts of various sizes open across the area, attracting skiers and snowboarders from all over Japan.
It’s not just a ski area—Shiga Kogen is beautiful in every season, spring, summer, fall, and winter. There are hot springs, too!
