Barbacoa really stands out among churrasco restaurants!
Not only is the quality of the meat excellent, but the salad bar is also extensive, so it’s incredibly satisfying.
The staff provide wonderful service too, which makes it one of my favorite places for a truly luxurious dining experience.
If I had to mention one downside, it would be that I always end up eating too much and feeling stuffed (*´∀`*)

Barbacoa Shinjuku
A memorable moment with Brazilian cuisine, where authentic energy meets urban sophistication.
Barbacoa Shinjuku is the Shinjuku location of the authentic churrasco restaurant headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil. It is popular as a renowned restaurant where guests can experience the flavors and style of Brazil just as they are, making it the only place of its kind in Japan. Although it is in the heart of the city, it is known for its richly exotic atmosphere that invites you into South American food culture as soon as you open the door.
Churrasco is a Brazilian regional dish made by skewering large cuts of meat on special spits, seasoning them simply, and grilling them slowly. At Barbacoa, the restaurant overturns the conventional image of a churrasco specialty restaurant by blending refined interiors with attentive hospitality, elevating traditional flavors into a more premium dining experience.
Menu items grilled to just the right doneness are brought to the table by staff while still hot on the skewers, then carved and served in portions as generous as you like. With a lineup of at least 10 cuts available at all times, including coulotte, flap meat, and rump, the restaurant also recommends unique palate cleansers and desserts such as grilled cheese and grilled pineapple.
Alongside churrasco, the “star attraction” salad bar is also popular, featuring Approx. 40 ingredients. Seasonal vegetables from partner farmers, a wide variety of deli items, and Brazilian specialties such as hearts of palm and beets are also must-tries.
This Shinjuku location has a spacious 112 seats, making it ideal for groups. Its excellent location, Approx. a 1-minute walk from Shinjuku-sanchome Station on the Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines, makes it easy to stop by between shopping and sightseeing.
