Lake Saroma Tsuruga Resort
A relaxing hot spring resort on the shores of Lake Saroma, Japan’s third-largest lake. Set within a quasi-national park area where untouched nature has been preserved, it offers a luxurious escape with sweeping horizon views. Every guest room has a lake view, and rooms facing the sunset side look out onto the magical sight of the sunset reflecting on the lake’s surface.
The hotel faces Lake Saroma, and the view is outstanding. The sunset is absolutely gorgeous.
The hot spring facilities are pretty nice, with both indoor and open-air baths. Soaking in the winter while looking out over the lake feels amazing. -
Mitsui Outlet Park Kurashiki
Mitsui Outlet Park Kurashiki is an outlet mall with excellent access just 3 minutes on foot from JR Kurashiki Station. Inside the mall which has a spacious open feel are lined stores of famous domestic and foreign manufacturers of fashion, general merchandise, sports and outdoor goods.
This outlet is in a perfect spot—right next to Kurashiki Station. Just a few minutes' walk and you're there! After shopping, you can easily head over to the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter for some great photos. Super convenient.

Takaosan FuMotoYA
Top off your hike on Mt. Takao with a stop at Takaosan FuMotoYA, set just steps from Keio Line's Takaosanguchi Station.
After finishing the hike, seeing FuMotoYA honestly felt like a lifesaver—I was starving!
