Visiting spot # 1: “Coffee-kan Minowa” short walk from Minowabashi station

A coffee shop next to Minowabashi station; the first stop of Toden Arakawa line. This is a popular spot for photo shoots where you can watch streetcar right outside of shop windows. Menu includes Coffee-kan blend for ¥420 (half price after the second cup).

Visiting spot #2: “Arakawa Yuen” approximately 3 minutes’ walk from Arakawa Yuenchi-mae station

District-operated amusement park that opened in 1922. Attractions include “the slowest roller coaster in Japan”, a Ferris wheel and a pet zoo.

Visit Spot #3: “Asukayama Park” fairly short walk from Asukayama station

A park with approximately 650 cherry blossom trees.
It has been loved since Edo period as a famous spot for cherry blossom. In the park, there are real SL train and Toden train displayed. “Asuka Park Rail”; a monorail that goes up to the summit of Asuka Mountain is also a popular attraction.

Visit spot #4: “Sugamozizo Shopping Street” approximately 2 minutes’ walk from Koshinzuka station

200 shops lined up along 800m long former Nakayama-do offering distinctive sweets and clothes for reasonable prices. On every 4th, 14th and 24th of a month, the street gets even busier for a fair. Smoking is prohibited on the street in the area.

Visit spot #5: Kishimojin-do approximately 3 minutes’ walk from Kishimojin-mae station

A temple that worships “Shiboshin”; god for safe delivery of a child and also child rearing. A line of zelkova trees along Sando leading from Kishibojin-mae station is designated as one of natural monuments of Tokyo. A huge maidenhair tree approximately 700 years old tree age in a temple precinct is a must-see.
