This art gallery is located on the 3rd floor of Bipuresu Kumanichi Kaikan, the multiplex in Kumamoto’s city center. Here you’ll find anything from cozy art exhibits to a full range of eclectic art for you to enjoy at this city-center recharge spot.

Inside you’ll find the “Home Gallery”, a space at the center where you can browse through art books, manga and more all completely free. With lighting made a work of art by James Turrell and the bookshelves themselves made by Marina Abramovic, this spot offers cozy vibes and a perfect backdrop that art-buffs will love. To top it off, you’ll find plenty of art works fused in with the building itself, made by famous artists across Japan and around the world.

Here at the gallery you’ll find everything you need to get even closer to art, from a free gallery space showing a collection of works, a kid space “Machinaka Kosodate Hiroba” filled with picture books and toys, and a museum shop with countless items to shop.
