A short walk from the beach on the Boso Peninsula, this former elementary school in Chikura, Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture has been thoughtfully renovated into a hotel. Just 2 minutes on foot from the shore, it’s a great base for enjoying Minamiboso’s abundant nature through meals and hands-on activity programs.

Choose from three accommodation types: private rooms, dorm-style rooms, or tents. Private rooms sleep up to 4, and dorm-style rooms sleep up to 10—perfect for families and groups. The tents let you stay with the ocean breeze nearby, and come with bed mattresses for a comfortable night.

There are plenty of activity programs to enjoy at the hotel and in the surrounding area, including vegetable harvesting, cycling, and fire-starting experiences. Vegetables you pick during the harvesting experience can also be enjoyed at a BBQ. For dining, the on-site cafe serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner (advance reservation required) using ingredients from Minamiboso, and there are also plans that let you BBQ in the outdoor space.
