A foodie delight comes to town, drawing some 2 million visitors each year in search of Hokkaido and Sapporo cuisine. Held in seven sections of Odori Park in central Sapporo, the festival stretches approximately 1 km with a total of 300 vendors participating.
Visit during festival time for proud dishes from across the municipalities of Hokkaido, plus tasty locally brewed craft beer, sake, and wine. There’s even more indulgent plates to try thanks to creative fare via famous chefs from some of Sapporo’s most popular restaurants. Each section of the festival is designed with a unique theme to keep you going, including live stage areas, laid back corners for food and relaxation, dedicated zones for local delicacies or spots to pair Hokkaido’s finest sake with complementary dishes. There are also sections dedicated to creative meat and vegetable collaborations, as well as a rotating lineup of famous Sapporo eateries, allowing guests to sample a different selection of signature dishes each day.
