Hakuba Mountain Beach opens during the green season on the rooftop of Usagidaira Terrace, located at an elevation of 1,400 meters. It is popular for offering an extraordinary experience with the feel of a beach resort high in the mountains. In front of you stretches a sweeping view of the Northern Alps, including Yatsugatake and Mount Asama rising 100 km away.
The facility will reopen after renovations in summer 2025! The Beach Lounge Area is an airy, open space with hammocks, parasols, and beach chairs. The bar menu has also been renewed, offering original items made with local ingredients such as croffles made with Shinshu ham and Shinshu miso, Hakuba-grown blueberries, and refreshing drinks.
The Sauna & Jacuzzi Area, which was previously a paid area, has been renovated into a photogenic water basin that anyone can enjoy. In the clear air unique to this high-altitude setting, you can refresh both body and mind.
