Usagidaira Terrace

Located at an elevation of Approx. 1,400 m at Hakuba Happo-One Ski Resort, this facility is attached to Happo Gondola Lift Usagidaira Station. Inside the terrace are open and airy cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy drinks and meals.

In winter, the area is blanketed in snow, creating a silvery world with sweeping views of the majestic Northern Alps. Of course, you can visit while skiing or snowboarding, but even just stepping off the gondola lift, you’ll be welcomed by scenery that looks like a painting. Warm light pours in through the large windows, making it a perfect place to take a break between winter activities.

During the summer green season, the rooftop opens as Hakuba Mountain Beach. Here, you can enjoy refreshing drinks made with locally grown blueberries, as well as a new menu item, croffles. This hybrid sweet, originally from Korea, combines the crispy texture of a croissant with the chewy texture of a waffle, with the aroma of butter spreading through your mouth. Limited-time events such as stargazing sessions are also held.

Another great option is to try one of the special plans, such as the Private Deck Reserve Plan, which includes a round-trip ticket for the Happo Alpen Line and a lunch box generously filled with local ingredients and roast beef.

From the Oakley Terrace observation deck, on clear days, relax and take in the spectacular views while watching paragliders take off up close. There is also a pet-friendly option where you can enjoy the great outdoors with your dog. Pets are now allowed on the gondola, so you can spend time with your dog at scenic Usagidaira. Taking a commemorative photo at a spot overlooking all of Hakuba Village is also recommended.
