Located about a 5-minute drive from the Kawajima IC on the Ken-O Expressway, Hon Teuchi Udon Shoji is run by two brothers and serves authentic handmade Musashino udon. Its slightly gray noodles, made with whole wheat flour, are especially distinctive. Loved by many, they showcase the aroma and rich flavor of wheat.

What brings out the flavor of the handmade udon is the soy sauce-based dipping broth made with bonito stock. Coating the firm noodles perfectly, the broth is said to make for a highly satisfying meal. The most popular dish is the Nikujiru Udon. Other options include Miso Nikomi Udon served in an earthenware pot and bukkake-style chilled tanuki udon. There is also a wide variety of seasonal menu items, such as Suttate, a local specialty of Kawajima Town in summer, and Gojiru in winter.

The interior makes generous use of natural wood. You can enjoy a relaxed meal in its calm atmosphere. In addition to table seating, there is also tatami seating, making it easy for families with children to visit. You can also order from the online shop. Handmade udon classes are held regularly as well.
