This Western-style cafe sits in the district known as “Mojiko Retro,” where charming buildings dating from the Meiji to Showa periods line the streets. Its signature dish is baked curry, a local specialty of Mojiko.

Baked curry is made by pouring curry over rice, topping it with cheese and egg, and baking it in the oven. The menu features a wide variety of baked curry dishes, including the standard “King’s Baked Curry” made with carefully simmered curry, soft egg, and plenty of cheese, as well as “Seafood” topped with grilled jumbo shrimp, “Plenty of Vegetables” loaded with vegetables, and “Hamburg Steak.”

Another top recommendation is the omurice made with “Mihoran,” an egg from a poultry farm in Fukuoka Prefecture known for its rich flavor and deep umami. In addition to the classic and popular special demi-glace sauce, there are also plenty of options such as carbonara with bacon and cream sauce, and a Japanese-style cream sauce flavored with mentaiko, a Fukuoka specialty. You can also order fluffy pancakes from the neighboring Cafe del SOL.
