Myohojigawa Park

Myohojigawa Park is a park developed along the Myohoji River in Suma Ward, Kobe. One of its main features is the riverside walking path, where you can enjoy the waterside scenery as you stroll.

In spring, Approx. 300 cherry trees of various varieties planted along the river come into full bloom. Several bridges can be found throughout the park, and in some spots the blossoms arch overhead, creating tunnel-like views of cherry blossoms. The park is also known as one of Suma Ward’s leading cherry blossom spots. Benches, playground equipment, and small open spaces are available throughout the park, making it easy for people of all ages to enjoy, whether taking a break during a walk or spending time with family. Being able to admire the flowers while walking along the river is another special charm of this park.

In spring, the Suma Myohojigawa Sakura Festival is held here and draws many visitors. Outside cherry blossom season, the walking path is also used for walking and casual strolls, offering something to enjoy in every season.
