Ikutagawa Park

A riverside park along the Ikuta River where you can enjoy rows of cherry trees and waterfront scenery in the city.

Last update :

A riverside park developed along the Ikuta River for Approx. 1.6 km north to south, stretching from Shin-Kobe Station toward HAT Kobe. Walking paths follow the river through the city, creating a space where you can enjoy waterfront scenery as part of a stroll around town.

The row of cherry trees along the river is called the "Nunobiki Flower Road" and becomes one of the Ikuta River's signature spring scenes. The cherry trees continue for Approx. 1.6 km through the park, with around 150 trees planted, mainly Somei Yoshino. They are usually at their best from late March to early April, when the riverside is covered in shades of pink at full bloom.

Stairs leading down to the river and playground equipment are scattered throughout the park, making it easy to stop by during a walk. Near the river mouth, you may also spot wild birds such as spot-billed ducks, another reason this park offers a welcome sense of nature despite its urban setting.
