A long-established ryokan in Misasa Onsen, Tottori Prefecture, it has been loved by many writers and calligraphers since opening in 1920. Guests can enjoy hot springs rich in radon, renowned as one of the world's leading radium springs.

The large communal bath, the "Kaiyu-shiki Dai-Teienburo," designed in the style of a Japanese garden, switches between its two areas at 5:00am. Renewed in 2025, the "Hidari no Yu" is popular for its wide variety of baths, including an open-air bath and a cave bath modeled after the National Treasure Nageiredo Hall on Mt. Mitoku. The "Migi no Yu" features a large bath in sukiya-style architecture and a retro atmosphere that lets you enjoy the feel of a Showa-era hot spring retreat.

With more than 70 guest rooms, the property offers a wide variety of types, including rooms with free-flowing open-air baths and concept floors that combine Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is prepared by skilled chefs and features seasonal flavors from the mountains and sea of Tottori. "Isuien," a traditional Japanese garden with waterfalls and a tea house set against the mountain backdrop, is designated as a scenic spot by the prefecture. You can enjoy the changing seasonal scenery in your own way, whether strolling along the corridors or taking in the view from the lounge.
