Itami Sky Park

Feel the pulse of jet planes up close at this park in the front row of the runway.

Last update :

This park stretches for about 1.2 km and sits next to the runway at Osaka International Airport (Itami Airport). From the three-story Observation Deck with its wooden deck, visitors can get an up-close look at the airport, including the impressive sight of jet planes taking off and landing right in front of them. At dusk, planes lift off against an orange-tinted sky, while at night, the runway lights and illuminations create a dreamy scene.

Inside the park, you’ll find the Park Center, which displays air traffic control radar equipment actually used at the airport, as well as Adventure Hill, featuring the Cube Adventure, a giant three-dimensional maze. Be sure to also visit Azalea Hill, where around 14,000 azaleas bloom across a roughly 2,500 m² slope. The best viewing season is April to May each year.

Please note that because the park is adjacent to the airport, items and activities that may interfere with takeoffs and landings are prohibited. These include bringing in drones, fireworks, kites, and similar items, as well as ball games, badminton, striders, bicycles, and related activities.
